Book Nerd Problems #18 | Reader Problems

Hello folks! This is Hira bringing you this week's Book Nerd!
How is the weekend treating you? You know me...I have been sleeping it away like usual.

Anyway, this is week's book nerd made me smile because it does really happen...right? Take a look.

Okay, confession. I had this huge crush on Draco Malfoy for the longest time.  How many of you had waited to find your own real life Mr Darcy? I am sure many of us had an unhealthy obsession with a certain Edward Cullen which we are a bit embarrassed to say out now, lol. Don't worry guys, you are not alone..many a times, fictional people are much better than real ones...they will always be there for you (there, I have spoken like the proper spinster, that I am.)

Anyways, tell us all about your fictional loves...I would love to hear all about it!

Book Nerd Problems #17 | Reader Problems

If you are a book nerd, I'm sure you can relate to this. I can't count the number of times this has happened to me.

I can't stop reading even on the day before exams. I'm at my most organized during exam times. I clean my room, write stories, draw stuff, watch anime, read books everything on the day before exam. Everything except studying. Sigh.

There have been so many times when I've nearly fallen asleep during exams just because I kept repeating to myself "Just one more chapter" the night before. It's a miracle that I've passed all my exams.
What about you? What do you do on the days before an exam?

Book Nerd Problem #16 | Reader Problems

Hi guys...this comes later than usual. I am so sorry. I have been so busy with one deadline after the other. Seriously, I feel like a zombie. But that was no excuse for being late. It won't happen again, I promise.

So here it is, this week's Book Nerd Problem. Guess who inspired this one? Guess, guess!

Book nerd problems | reader problems #16

You guessed it right, its none other than our beloved Zoe. The girl seriously has no self control when it comes to books. She filled out an entire shelf in a month and she still keeps buying. She checks Amazon the way some of us checks Facebook or Tumblr. But to be fair, her collection is amazing. You guys should definitely check out her instagram. Her bookstagrams  Are. The. Best.

Anyways, that's it for this week's book nerd. Tell us if you are also like Zoe...We always want to hear more book crazy people.

Book Nerd Problem #15 | Reader Problems

Have you ever missed an awesome book sale by just a few hours. I have and I tell you the pain is almost unbearable and can only be soothed by buying more books or eating chocolate. But, in my case I had known about the sale and still could do nothing about it. I watched it slip away from me. Why? Well, I had a good reason.

Book Nerd Problems #15 | Reader problems

I had bought 15 books from Amazon(yes, in one go), so when amazon had a sale the very next day, what could I do? The books I had just bought were available for like less than half the price. The tragedy of it all. Atleast I had chocolate to console me.

Has anything like this happened to you?

Book Nerd Problem #14

Ok this one time a friend of mine borrowed a book from me. I had recommended it to her and had encouraged her to borrow my copy. That was a time I was persuading everyone I was meeting to read the book. So, fast forward and I give her my brand new hot off the press edition.

"Take care of my baby." I joked. A week later I visited her home. And to my horror, my book was lying on the table, front page folded back and held under a coffee mug. A round brown stain was emblemed where the coffee mug was placed.

Well, that was the last time I let her borrow my book. I am not scared of ghosts or vampires but what I'm scared of is people mistreating my books. That is one thing I won't stand for.

Do you have any such scary stories to share? Has anyone taken your precious books and accidentally teared or creased it? Share your story below.

Book Nerd Problems #13 | Reader Problems

And it's that time of the week again. How are my fellow Book Nerds faring these days? This week's problem is very very relatable, huh? Any Game of Thrones fans around? You guys would know this issue best I guess.

Seriously, being patient is not an easy task at all. Zoe has practically gone crazy because her favorite author postponed the release date of a sequel. Has this happened to any of you...let me know, I love hearing these stuff.

Anyway, good news, George R R Martin has promised that Winds of Winter will release before Season 7.  So things might be looking up for you GoT fans at least.

Also if you have any problems like this and would like to have it featured in here....shoot us a message. Till we meet again, Adios!

Book Nerd Problems #12 | Reader Problems

Hello Peeps, how's everyone doing? Weekend going well? Partying hard or sleeping in? I know, I spent the entire day lazing around in bed....seriously needed the day off after the very busy week.

 Anyway, Book Nerd Problem...Woohoo!
Zoe asked me to write this one today and I just realized why, she knows there is no better person to talk about this problem than me!

The number of times this has happened...OMG, I have seriously lost count. How many people had asked me why I was whimpering or why my eyes were all red...total strangers too. Oh I have to tell this story. This was back when me, Inia, and Zoe were sharing a room...we had just met each other and were not as close as we are now. I was reading this very emotional book in which the main girl dies and I was bawling my eyes out. It was like eight something on a Sunday, and Zoe and Inia were still dead to the world. Then Hope and Jordan knocked on the door, and I open it...tear stained cheeks, red puffy eyes and all. I swear they got a real scare...thought something was really wrong. And then the other two also woke up and they were so pissed when they knew what I was actually crying about. (*Lol, they always have to put up with my broken heart after reading a super angsty book...that's how I know they love me.)

Anyway tell me if you have ever had gone through this. I bet you have...come on go to the comments section, let the words flow....let me hear all about it, I really wanna know!

Book Nerd Problems #11

Today was a fantastic day. Why? Because I finally finished designing fan merchandise based on Nevernight by Jay Kristoff. It was exhausting but so worth it. Currently, I'm trying out redbubble, after that maybe I'll branch out to Society6 too. What do you think? Here is the link in case you wanna check it out.
It's basically a shop for book nerd with cool fandom based merchandise.

I have an extreme version of this problem. Some people find it hard to stop reading a boring book, to mark it as DNF in Goodreads. But, for me the problem does not stop there, I will read the entire series even if I don't like it. God, the amount of time I've wasted reading boring book, I could've spent reading Ilona Andrews or Leigh Bardugo.

Thankfully, I'm getting better now. When you've got a TBR that can scare even your librarian, you end up DNF'ing a lot of books.

So, what kind of reader are you? Do you DNF(Did Not finish) sucky books or do you continue reading it? Or are you an extreme case like me?

P.S: Magic Binds by Ilona Andrews is releasing on September 20! Who else is excited?

Book Nerd Problems#10

I hate it when this happens.

I love symmetry and pretty arrangements. So, when the covers of the series do not match I get really irritated. And I end up buying the newer version with the matching covers. This happened with Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi. Have you seen the covers? They are like my all time favourites. But, the first book initially had a girl in a gown with a shattering glass effect. It had nothing to do with the story. But, when the new covers came out, I didn't think twice and bought it. Sigh,

Has this happened to you, or am I the only one who likes their covers to match.

Book Nerd Problems #9

Another week another problem...the book nerds are here! This week's problem is extremely common.

You gotta admit, fanfics are a god send! Anyone here who read a million prequels and sequels of Harry Potter after Deathly Hallows ended? Anyone who was obsessed with Twilight and went searching for a thousand more Bedward tales? Anyone who searched for Gone with the Wind fanfics and came out disappointed? Tell me all about it...because this was all so me! As well as Inia and Jordan to a smaller extent (*I know for a fact that Inia is currently in love with Captive Prince fanfictions...shhuush don't tell her I know)

Book Nerd Problems #8

Hello homies....how's your weekend going? Well Zoe, Inia, Jordan and I just had a girls night out
and it was so much fun! Icecreams, pizzas, laughter, and a million funny pics.

As usual when four books nerds hang out the topic obviously will be books! We were talking about those pretensious bibliophiles who buy books to showcase rather than read and somehow we reached till here!

A pretty common question, huh? But still one which manage to annoy the crap out of you, I bet.Tell us if anyone has said these words to you? How did you react?

Book Nerd Problems #7

Zoella: This is something, I am sure, you as well as both Jordan and Hira (my co-bloggers) can relate with.

Book nerd problems week 7

Zoella: Which was the sequel that burnt you bad?

Hira: Okay so I JUST had to butt in here and give my two cents of opinion on this topic. Harry Potter is a symbol of my whole childhood. My parents used to read the first few parts to me when I was too young and later the book brought me close to all my closest friends. And now the sequel has just absolutely ruined it all for me. At first I had been in denial and refused to accept that the Queen would actually be a part of such a mediocre work (Come on! I have read fan fictions which had much better plot lines), but now I am just really angry and frustrated. To the quote above, my thoughts  exactly!

Jordan: Oh I've been burnt and scarred by Jojo Moyes's After You. While Me Before You touched my soul to the very core, its sequel made me cringe and throw it out even before I got to the halfway mark. The experience was excruciating, and it ruined the emotional attachment I had towards the characters in Me Before You. Bumblebee tights , my foot!

Book Nerd Problems #6

This week we have another awesome book nerd quote, courtesy of Hira (you are amazing H). This quote is something I go through almost every time I read a book. My main diet consists mainly of Urban Fantasy and UF is something that is dominated by impulsive and kickass female leads and I go through atleast one cycle of yelling at them. Of course they don't listen and jump right into the boiling oil. But, at least they are no damsel in distress. they clean up their own messes.

When did this last happen to you? For me it was during a Jeaniene Frost novel, in the series One foot in the Grave.

Book Nerd Problems #5

Harry Potter has one of the biggest and most dedicated fandom's in the world. Even after ten years the fandom is still active and thriving. So this week's Book nerd Problem is dedicated to Potterheads all over the world who still keep the magic alive in them.

And also I hope all of you are as excited as me for the release of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child next week...have you pre-ordered the book? Anyone in London going to the play? If yes, then I am so jealous of you...Tell me all about it. I am as big a potterhead as they come.

Book Nerd Problems #4

Every fan have to suffer this. When we hear that our favorite book is going to get adapted as a movie. We celebrate it like lunatics, I had. We countdown the days till movies finish, make plans with fellow fans to catch the movie on its release day. rereads the book, hyperventilates on the thought of seeing on favorite scene come to life, buys popcorn, hyperventilates again. Finally, the moment comes near, you see your favorite scene in multi color, and...

It's nothing like you have imagined.

So, this one is for all the fandom people out there. Have you gone through something like this. Tell me.

Hi, how was your day. I had a few good ideas for making bookmarks. I will post it here as soon as I finish it. So, todays book nerd problem is special and I think you can guess who I am talking about here. If you know, let me know in the comments below.

"When your favourite author is so successful that he is finishing movie scripts instead of the book."

Why don't you tweet this one? Let's see how many of your friends are as smart as you.

Book Nerd Problems #2

Hi guys....and yes it's another Saturday and we are back again with another Book Nerd Problem. After all we book nerds never run out of problems do we? Just last day I was complaining to my Dad about how difficult it is to get hands on some books...even in this era where everything is at your fingertips, can you believe it.

Book Nerd Problems #1

Hello Folks! We are starting a new feature just for YOU (if you've never read a book, then this is not the place for you *points at the door*).

So last day me and Hira were chatting (obviously) and we talked about little things that irks book nerds like us. Things that non-reader will never get.

"You have so many books, Why do you need more?"  How can anyone ask any self-respecting book-lover  such a question? Note this down people- I'm greedy when it comes to books. It's always that way- the more, the better. It's the same for Hira...who am I kidding, she is worse.

Anyway back to the matter at hand. Our chat on books. This feature you see now is an evolution of those chats. We were having so much fun texting back and forth, we thought you shouldn't be kept out of it (yes, we are generous souls, I know).

So, ladies and gentlemen, please welcome our new feature Book Nerd Problems. If you have ever experienced these problems, then know that you are never alone.

Pin it, tweet it, share it. It's all your wish.
What Irked you when you read a book. Share below and who knows, it may even be featured here.
